Twice as nice!

Here we are and William's already two months old. They just grow up so fast. Here are a couple photos to celebrate the occasion. Enjoy!

Hapy Birtbay Alice!

While William was unable to attend his favorite cousin's birthday party, he wanted to send her a birthday message. He also wanted to say thank you for the adorable hand-me-down onesie!

Getting bigger!

We went to the doctor's office today and he's up to 11lbs 7oz, which is up more than two pounds in less than a month. I guess you could say our baby taco has become a little gordito! While his dad found that funny, William was not amused.

Will someone get that baby a bottle of milk? And maybe some peanuts or pretzels or SOMETHING. Geez.

With the Bruins out and the Celtics rebuilding, I guess it's officially time to go all in for the Red Sox. William's excited, although I think he'd prefer something a little more form fitting...

We've been told by our dedicated followers that they could watch William for hours. Well, now you can! With the magic of the GIF, we were able to loop William so you could watch him forever without refreshing your screen! Not familiar with the GIF? Well, it's just another kind of image file, like a jpeg, except it allows you to store multiple layers to make the image appear to move. You've likely come across multiple GIFs today on the internet and just didn't know it. You've probably known about GIFs for longer than you think. Remember this scene from Jurassic Park? Anyways, here are a couple GIFs of William at work:

Smiles

So generally babies start smiling around 6 to 8 weeks of age, but we're not sure if we've seen the real thing yet. We do keep seeing faces like this one that look like a smile!

Dominating Tummy Time

He's holding his head up high during some quality tummy time. We're taking wagers on the date he first starts crawling. We're thinking of setting an over/under of 28 days ;-)

Family Walk

We went out for a walk today in the park right by our house and decided to take a family portrait. The first shot was taken by a friendly jogger, while the second shot was Justin's attempt at shooting at arm's length. Justin prefers his shot because it hides the baby weight he's still trying to lose...

We got William all dressed up and took him for a walk around the block. He seems to enjoy being held upright and listening to all the outdoor sounds. By the end of the walk he was fast asleep.

We've been making sure William is getting plenty of tummy time and he's making the most of it. While he's not crawling yet, you just have to follow the trail of spit to see where his mouth has been!

Slight of hand?

We went in for William's one month check-up today, where they had to give him a shot. The nurse came in with one needle, I saw her stick the needle in William and only William, and yet two people started crying. I can only assume it's a magic trick involving a second needle hidden up the nurse's sleeve.

Gigi's Visit

While Gigi was here, we took our first "road trip" with William, going up to Baltimore to visit with Auntie Molly!

We had a lovely dinner where William was well-behaved (see: Sleeping).

Afterwards, we went out to the Baltimore waterfront for a little walking and photos!

Also, on a slightly unrelated note, Justin made Watermelon-Lemonade slushes.  He cubed up some watermelon and froze it. Then he squeezed three lemons for just over half a cup of lemon juice, combined with some simple syrup and the frozen melon in the blender. Mix until it's smooth and then serve in fancy glasses!
