Happy Four Months!

Today, we celebrated the four-month birthday of this little guy. Happy four months to him -- and to us!

With Jessica back to work, William is being fed from a bottle during the day. From time to time he'll grab on enough to almost feed himself. Now if we can just teach him how to change his own diaper, we figure he should be able to watch himself!

The Zoo

We took William to the National Zoo. We got him all dressed up in his giraffe outfit, increasing the giraffe population to...one. That's right, there are none. Oh well, we did find out that there are some baby tigers, so we'll be back when they make their first public appearance!

William took a walk today with Aunt Molly. From the looks of this photo, he had a great time!

Starting a new chapter

Today marked the final day of Justin's paternity leave, so in recognition of the moment, he and William met Jessica at their favorite DC restaurant for lunch -- Zaytinya. Plus, it's restaurant week so why not celebrate!

Lately William has been getting better and better at grabbing onto things with his hands. Here he is playing with a ball. We promise we didn't superglue it to him!

Jess and William chillin' all day

Justin had an all-day orientation for school, so it was Jess and William hanging out all day. Weather was great so they spent lots of time outside, and got in the requisite tummy time!

Generally, people are excited about getting a manicure, but William is still a little skeptical of the whole concept. Why would you want to cut off a part of your body voluntarily?

Smithsonian Natural History Museum - Part 2

We decided to take a little field trip down to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.

William seemed very interested in looking around. He seemed to like this fish tank. May be the fish, may be the light.

We had a whale of a time!

Lots of interesting displays, but William was more into looking than reading.

There was an amazing nature photo display we wandered into.

While not completely comfortable in it, William seems to be growing more at home in his carrier.
