William had no problem climbing up the hill at the playground today!

So it turns out that no matter what you do, children keep getting bigger. After much lobbying from the arms union, we finally got a stroller to take a load off. It's got nice big tires, perfect for navigating those treacherous sidewalks!

New cable guy

Apparently we got a new cable guy. For the first time ever, the person was younger than the technology. Not sure why he had to be naked. At least he seems to enjoy his work!

Big Helper!

We got William starting to pull his own weight. Now we just need to teach him how to push the vacuum and wash the dishes!

Swing time

William enjoyed exploring a new park this weekend! He is still getting used to the swings, but seems to enjoy it more when Dad is right beside him.

Faucet fun

William has found a new fascination during bath time -- the water faucet and the water that it comes out of it. Although he hasn't figured out how to grab onto it.

Jessica made some delicious popsicles that William really enjoyed. The only problem was that eventually it was all gone!

Return to the Aquarium

Our first trip back to the National Aquarium in about two months and what a difference. William was looking at everything, pointing at stuff, and just taking it all in.

William's gotten really good at pointing out the buses going by the house.

William took his bath tonight with some of his favorite bath toys -- all the soap bottles!

Wanted: Magnet thief - known for wearing adorable outfits and pulling all the magnets off the fridge. Except the one of William. Seems a little fishy...

Fun at the zoo!

We had fun exploring the zoo this weekend with William! He seemed especially fascinated by the elephants.

An Ode to Mom

This Mother's Day William did all the fun things for his Mom. He helped make her gingerbread buttermilk waffles that she clearly enjoyed (see empty plate), he took her to the zoo, and he got her to feed him fro-yo (frozen yogurt). What a thoughtful young man!

Back at it

After several days of being sick, William was back doing two of his favorite things today: pointing and practicing walking!

Decoy

Whenever we need to do something like get William dressed or give him some medicine, it helps to give him a decoy object to play with. Right now, any bottle of lotion is a good option.

Favorite Things

It appears that William officially has a new favorite food: watermelon. He's figured out a way to eat as much as he wants without ever getting full - chew it up to get all the juices out and the spit out the pulp. He's like a little juicer.

Birthday Party

We had a little birthday celebration picnic down by the National Mall to celebrate William turning one.
