We did manage to get one group photo of everyone together!

More pictures from Shenandoah, primarily from a hike we went on. We've included this group photo because otherwise you wouldn't know we were there with other people based on the pictures!

After a long hike nothing feels better than taking off your pants and eating a big piece of watermelon!

Shenandoah Part 1

We went out to Shenandoah valley with some friends a couple weeks back for a fun weekend. We ended up on a working farm that had a lovely pasture and pond that made for a rather picturesque sunset.

The problem with taking a picture at sunset is either the people are too dark or the sunset is washed out. So the shot below is a poor effort to try and combine two shots to make one "ideal" photo.

Here William works to solve an unsolvable problem at MIT in a medium that is fast becoming obsolete.

Rice family time!

 Also got a chance to visit with Moppin and Papa. Papa pulled out an old electric railway, and Moppin showed William some of her favorite bird photos on the computer.

Rogers family visit

 During the Austin trip we got a chance to go over and visit with Granny and Great Papa. 

Wedding Season

 We came in to Austin for a friends wedding. Here are a couple shots of everyone all dressed up!

Airplanes!

One of William's favorite spots in DC is a park right by the Reagan Airport. He loves watching the planes fly over, but also likes to have someone holding him when they do. 

Peacocks at the zoo!

 We finally got over to the outdoor bird enclosure at the zoo, and were greeted with a very impressive display by one of the peacocks. Also, William stole Jessica's hat.
