Clearing the snow

We got a lot of snow this past weekend, so William thought it was time to pull out the heavy machinery.

On our recent Mexico trip we had several amazing sunsets. On one particular evening we had an especially beautiful sunset, but I was having trouble capturing it all in one shot. I took three shots and hoped to be able to stitch them together using some software or another. Here were the three shots I captured:

I use Adobe Lightroom CC, so I uploaded all the pictures. At that point, it was pretty easy - select the photos you want to merge (in my case the above three), then right click (or control click) and select Photo Merge >> Panorama. It gives you three options for merging the pictures. I decided to go with Spherical, so it gave me the following image:

At that point, I cropped the image so that it didn't have any of the curves and vola!

Feels like it should be harder, right?

Sand Castles

William enjoyed the sand. He liked digging around in the sand, and he liked to smash stuff. We're pretty sure he still has sand in his ears.

Todos Santos

We stayed just outside of Todos Santos, but made some day trips into the town.

Sunset time

One of the best parts of a beach trip on the pacific west coast is sunset over the water. William enjoyed watch the sun melt into the ocean - especially while wearing Jessica's glasses.

Sunset Sand

While waiting for the turtle release, we got some quality sand time just before sunset!

Turtle Time!

Todos Santos has a turtle egg sanctuary.

William got an up close visit with an early riser - a turtle that popped out of the sand before they were releasing them to the wild.

William seemed to really like meeting the turtle.

They drop the turtle on the sand, and they crawl to the water, giving them a slightly better chance of surviving. Good luck little turtle!

Beach time!

We got to spend a lot of time on the beach!

William liked the sand - but not so much the water.

We also did some whale watching from the beach.

A baby whale decided to put on quite a show for us! We got to see whales from the beach on an almost a daily basis.
