William's First Birthday - Decorations and All

A few photos from William's first birthday. Special thanks to Manasi for all the work on the decorations and food (including a homemade banana and chocolate monkey cake!)

But why?

William didn't understand why he too couldn't have some of the juice from the green bottle. Very distressing indeed.

Children's Museum

William had fun exploring the Louisiana Children's Museum. It had lots of blocks, toys, and tunnels for him to go through.

Aquarium

William had a fun time exploring the aquarium here in New Orleans. He's gotten very good at pointing at the fish. He even got to see penguins!

Room with a view

We're in NOLA for a couple days and William seems particularly impressed by the view. That and the elevators that you can see going up and down.

Too sleepy

William was almost too sleepy to enjoy one of New Orleans' finest delicacies, the beignet. Luckily he woke up just in time to try one!

Justin has a conference to attend in New Orleans. Since William had never been to Louisiana he figured he'd tag along.

We saw these little ring-pop popsicles and thought they would be a better size for William. I think he approves!

Now that William is feeling more confident on his feet, he's taking play time to the next level! Here he is pushing the toy mower he got for his birthday.

The bookstore

William had lots of fun checking out all the books at the bookstore!
