We recently decided to visit Boston Common.
This made Jessica really happy.
The State House sits on Beacon Hill near Boston Common. The dome is covered in 23 karat gold, giving state government the bit of bling it so often needs. They're considering scraping it off to pay off the state deficit.
Boston Common is the starting point of the Freedom Trail, which runs through the city and takes you to some of its most historic sites. It's the oldest park in the country and Martin Luther King, Jr. (a BU grad), Pope John Paul II, and Gloria Steinem have given speeches there.
Here's a swan swimming in the duck pond. Jessica tried to chase it but, by now, it had heard of her reputation and stayed far away.
A statue of George Washington near the entryway.
Walking toward the sunset on our street.
A beautiful, multi-colored, Bean-town sunset.

Beautiful pictures. Just wondering, Jessica...would Justin jump like you did and let you take his picture? I would like to see who can jump the highest.
Bet that swan was shaking in his boots, uh...well, pond.
You're not serious about the gold on the dome consideration, are you?
i like the sunset on your street picture!
